The only way Switch 2 will hit the ground running is by taking the original Switch off the market.
Nintendo doesn't keep older consoles around for long. They also care more about making money than records.
Wouldn't mean anything. Switch had no competition. Switch lite also disqualifies the numbers as console sales. PS2 would still be the best selling home console of all time.
Finally Switch is dying off!
I got this game with a Super Nintendo on Christmas '94. Ridiculous to think that was 30 years ago.
Announce the Switch 2 already!
They've had better first party through the last 10 years and earned their brand recognition. Not to mention they made a better more efficient machine the last two generations.
Sony earns their win against MS and now their a monopoly? F off...
Make up your minds haters. You can't expect this thing to perform like a $2000 PC and whine about 700 dollars. It's going to be the best in console and has the best price to performance ratio out there. Too expensive? Stick with regular PS5. Want to nitpick, get 2 stacks for a PC.
Even $1500 PCs run it at this rate. Sony isn't a charity. This is the best in console. Buy a $2k PC if this isn't good enough for you.
Just look over the fact that a 700 dollar PC would give less performance, huh? A "full measured" console would've been over a thousand dollars, then you'd still be complaining.
Almost embarrassed to be a gamer these days. Nothing but complaints and expecting things for free.
The first person games need it's own trilogy. Go back to 3rd person for 10. I happen to enjoy both first and third person games. Whatever they do, I'm hoping it's not open world. Not every game has to be open world.
Honest, how much do you think it costs to make a Pro?
Wouldn't it make more sense to compare the mainstream product to the mainstream product? Your logic is like saying because a Lexus costs so much, the Toyota will cost the same...
People are forgetting next gen is about 4 to 5 years from now. It'll happen when a jump from the Pro is at a 500 dollar price point. People are daft if they think an enthusiast product will dictate what happens with a mainstream product.
Have fun waiting for games. No GTA, No Astrobot, No Spiderman 2, no Final Fantasy 7, no Plucky Squire, no Gran Tursimso, among many others. I'm convinced the PC argument comes from angry Xbox fanboys.
How is it not a good look? You get what you pay for. This is just an option. They're not phasing out the original PS5. You can thank the economy for why console prices haven't come down. It's affecting everyone. If Xbox was doing better, that doesn't mean Sony is going to take a 200 dollar loss on 700 dollars of components...
Sony isn't going to price themselves out of the mainstream market.
Since the Wii, Nintendo doesn't keep consoles on the market after a successor releases. Once the Switch 2 releases, very likely Nintendo will take Switch off the market.
